Just a few days after getting back home from our wedding in Maui we were on a plane again headed for DC. We had planned a second wedding celebration at David's parents' house in West Virginia to include all of our East Coast friends and family who couldn't make the trip out to Maui. Our flight on the way over was cancelled and we got in much later than planned, a storm was coming through on Saturday which was the day of our celebration, but the party was still a great event and we both loved extending the celebration out a bit longer. All of David's family is on the East Coast and the majority of my Dad's family is either in Wisconsin or the Maryland/Virginia area so we had quite a family reunion! I was able to postpone my next round of chemo from starting while I was in Maui, but it meant that instead I would be starting the day before we headed to WV. No champagne toasts for me! Regardless, we still had a great time. Here are some (okay a lot) of photos from the weekend.

Thank you to everyone who came out to second wedding reception! We loved seeing all of you and it was a perfect end to a two-week wedding celebration. Special thanks also goes out to our photographer Rachael Harms who captured so many special moments from the event.
We are now back in San Diego enjoying being newlyweds and are having fun starting our new life together. We're done traveling for now and won't be going out of town again until October when we make the short trip north to Long Beach when I run the Long Beach Marathon. This race is the big #20!! This will be a monumental race for me with special meaning since I've been training for this race while fundraising for my doctor's neuroncology lab.
